All the third classes of the “Imbriani Salvemini” primary school created on Thursday evening, for the first time, a musical “built” TOGETHER, growing and discovering, throughout the entire journey, the value of friendship, sharing and ideas, the importance of rules and acceptance of others… in a word, the true, real and concrete meaning of legality.
The entire artistic journey was carried out not only with the individual choice made by each student regarding the personal performance (acting, singing, dancing), but above all with the CONCRETE and REAL INTEGRATION of everyone regardless of the particularity of each of us.
The journey on legality, done with the students, started from the “random discovery” of Luigi Garlando’s book “For this reason my name is Giovanni” which intrigued all of them, starting simply from the title (they will read the book soon), to discover together the whole story of Giovanni Falcone who has truly become a point of reference (together with his dear friend Paolo Borsellino) to know and concretely understand the value of truly believing in legality and pursuing it together.
The show starts from the chance meeting in a garden by the children of the book mentioned above and from their comparison with their grandfather and some of his elderly friends, who help them to discover the whole story which is “told” by the children using exchanges recited, and pieces of pop music sung and danced with real and concrete messages on true legality. The work was carried out and coordinated by the teachers of the entire class.
The entire show aroused a lot of emotion and “beauty” in the vast audience of parents and teachers present, as well as in the precious interventions of the principal of the IC “Imbriani Salvemini” Elisabetta Abruzzese and of the Director of Public Education, Social Services and Culture of the Municipality of Andria Irene Turturo, and the councilor for Personnel Dora Conversano who brought the institutional greeting from the administration.
