The new Dinamo Sassari for next season is starting to take shape. Justin Bibbins has arrived as the first purchase in view of the next A1 championship. A season that will see Sassari rebuild a new cycle, after a very troubled year which also led to the change of coach during the current season. The first addition for the 24/25 season of the Sassari team, Justin Bibbins, is an American “play-maker” born in 1996. Bibbins will be the first “handler” of Dinamo Sassari, one of the two wingers who will occupy the place in the starting quintet of coach Nenad Markovic. Bibbins stood out for his “leadership” already in college with “Long Beach” first and “Utah” later.

He is a player with great personality, offensive talent, but capable of creating advantages from the dribble thanks to his speed and the excellent ball-handling he has. Justin Bibbins, after an important season in Warsaw in 2020 (18.5 points and 7 assists on average) made the big leap to France, where in December of the same year he immediately demonstrated his great value. The definitive consecration came in the last two years in Nanterre where, in the season just ended, he averaged 15.2 points and 5.1 assists per game. In the French playoffs, where Nanterre was defeated by Bourg, Bibbins recorded 18 points with 7.7 assists per game and a sumptuous 48% from beyond the arc. Justin Bibbins was an opponent of coach Nenad Markovic several times in France, with the Bosnian coach insisting to the management to have Bibbins at his disposal: “A boy I’ve known and followed for a long time, he has personality, he’s tough, despite his size he has great energy also on a defensive level, he is a player who we thought could be ideal for the type of team we want to build.” With these words the Dinamo coach welcomed his new point guard. The General Manager of Dinamo Sassari, Federico Pasquini, also comments on the hiring of Bibbins: “A player we immediately focused on, it wasn’t easy, he had an excellent season with Nanterre, also playing very well in the playoffs. He fits into the team idea conceived with coach Markovic, with whom we immediately shared the playmaker objective. He has personality, talent, experience and the right motivation to make an important contribution to us.”
