Siena, the owners of the restored stage thank the women of Valdimontone

Yesterday we talked about the commendable initiative of the women of the Valdimontone district who restored with their own hands the stage on the side of the Vicolo dei Borsellai, which has hosted them since the 1980s during the days of the Palio. Today we receive, and publish, the thanks that the owners of the stage want to convey to the entire district and to the women in particular.

“We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the women of the Contrada del Valdimontone, in particular to Manuela Baglioni, Monica Ciabatti and Sabrina Bicci, who, through patient and precious work, repainted the parapet of Stage n. 38, which from today shines with new colors. None of this would have been possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of the sisters Carla and Grazia Burroni, to whom we are united by a bond of acquired “sisterhood”, based on a commonality of experiences.

We can’t wait to see all the wonderful women on stage no. 38 have been inhabiting it for over 40 years, animating it and dyeing it PINK, which is also our color and which unites us all, in the name of a common belonging.

A dutiful thank you goes to the entire Valdimontone district, whose helpfulness and generosity make us proud of our city and the beautiful humanity that populates it every day.

Benedetta and Margherita Masignani”
