This evening at the Grand Hotel in Cesenatico, the Lions Club Forlì Host will proceed with the handover between the outgoing president Alessandra Ascari Raccagni and Luciano Valentini, who will take over the leadership of the club. Valentini graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna and subsequently obtained a teaching qualification. Until 2020, the year in which he retired, he served as head of the Plant Engineering-Accident Prevention operational unit of the Romagna Local Health Authority.
Valentini will be supported in the management of the organization by a partially renewed board of directors composed of Alessandra Ascari Raccagni, as past president, Fiorella Maria Mangione and Giovanni Mosconi, Andrea Mariotti, Camilla Sangiovanni, Ivo Bassi, Andrea Bassi, Mariella Strano, Nicola Mangione and the councilors Simone Giuseppe Delia, Roberto Maestri and Stefania Milanesi (in the photo above Valentini with Ascari Raccagni, in the center and Mangione). The board of auditors will in turn be composed of Nicola Maria Baccarini, Aurelio Cicognani and Luca Dal Prato, while Aurelio Viscuso will act as Leo Advisor and Gabriele Zelli as press officer.
During the same evening, the change of presidency for the Leo Club Forlì will also take place: Chiara Avoni will pass the baton to Mattia Agostini, while the council will also be made up of Antonio Zaccarelli, Lucrezia Leonardi and Enrico Di Tella.
Finally, the Forlì experience is also put to good use in other venues: at the national Lions congress in Genoa, Franco Sami (in the photo alongside), former president of the city club in 2004-2005, was elected member of the national commission for the evaluation of activities and projects. Among the services carried out by the commission are those relating to the fight against gambling addiction, road safety and cancer prevention.
