The Casino’s summer entertainment offer dedicated to residents and tourists could not ignore the cultural moments which in July present diversified evening events. The Literary Tuesdays continue on ever-current themes from music to the culture of legality, to poetry to the homage to Farfa’s Futurism. The summer review of Literary Tuesdays, curated by Marzia Taruffi, opens Tuesday 2 July at 9.00pm in the Opera Theater with the tribute to Vittorio Osvaldo Tommasini on the sixtieth anniversary of his death which occurred in Sanremo. The volume is presented in collaboration with the Accademia della Pigna of Sanremo “Farfa in Sanremo” (The Studiolo). Speeches by Stefania Stefanelli, Fabio Barricalla, Freddy Colt, Marco Innocenti.
Thursday 11 July at 9pm in the Opera Theatre the Hon. Riccardo Nencini, president of the Reading Laboratory of Viesseux of Florence illustrates the novel “Every love story has an end” has its national premiere (Mondadori) by Aura Cenni and Lorenzo Donati. This is a work destined to become a literary case.
On July 16th at 6.30 pm the prof. Francesco De Nicola presents his essay “Camillo Sbarbaro. Poetry is a breath. Letters to Giovanni Descalzo” (Ares Editions).
Usually known for his melancholic and solitary appearance, Camillo Sbarbaro (1888-1967) was in reality one of the greatest writers that Liguria gave to the twentieth century, as attested by the ever-increasing attention of critics. In this book, Francesco De Nicola offers readers an unpublished portrait without univocal definitions of an author who found his main reason for living in writing. Writing for him was an extension of himself, an internal and private need. Without harboring ambitions of glory, Sbarbaro effectively kept himself out of the literary world, but it was precisely this “writing to live” that made him a rare, if not unique, character in the Italian literary world of the twentieth century: completely original in living his alternating human events and in writing pages that transcend time and which, even today, are able to involve the reader.

Autobiographical journey between mysticism teaching and the career of a tenor in search of himself through singing. The soprano Fiorella De Luca participates.
