Last day for this second edition of Lucca Social Art, the festival promoted by the Artespressa association which in recent days has animated the spaces of the Agorà library.

Three events are scheduled. At 4pm the last of the workshops dedicated to children (aged 6 to 10) curated by Food Family Hub and entitled “Who we were, who we are: from memory to image”, a journey to discover the historical photographs preserved in the Photographic Archive Lucchese, organized in collaboration with the Archivi in ​​Rete project.

Also at 4pm, the closing of the cycle “Cooperative videomaking and mental health”, a project which in recent days has involved six students from the ISI Pertini of Lucca and two users of the Mental Health Centre. Together with Carmine Parrella, psychologist of the ASL Toscana Nord Ovest and coordinator of the multimedia art therapy laboratory of the Aedo Association and of the CSM Day Center of Fornaci di Barga, with four volunteers from the Mental Health Center and of the Aedo Association, the boys a small film set was set up and a short film was made which was edited by Sergio Pescucci and will be screened on the final day of the festival. The workshop replicated a typical day of activities on set, a “community exercise” which effectively canceled the distance with those suffering from mental distress in the name of creativity.

At 5.30pm the “Piccole Cose Award”, a recognition established this year to celebrate inclusive commitment in the community, in collaboration and with the patronage of the Pascoli Foundation. The prize will be awarded to operators in the social and cultural sectors who have distinguished themselves in the area for creativity and inclusion: Empathatre – La Compagnia dei Salvastorie, a Lucca-based company that has been carrying out social theater and street theater activities since 2003; Carla Nolledi, curator of the “Musica Ragazzi” season of the Lucchese Music Association, who has always been involved in activities to promote music and listening for the well-being of children and adults; Paola Frizza for the Anffas Lucca dance therapy project which promotes the possibility of communicating one’s experiences, emotions and perceptions of oneself, of space and of others; Lucia Massetani for the project “I’ll wait for you in the library”, designed to introduce children to reading with an affective and emotional approach.
