Music as a tool for social cohesion. With this idea, it renews itself Saturday 25 May, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Goisis Park Arena, in Monterosso, the musical neighborhood festival promoted by the ProPolis association, very active in Monterosso but also in Valtesse or San Colombano. To perform, in a sort of essay-concert, eight formations for all ages (from primary and secondary children to adults) and genres (from baroque to Balkan music to band music): PrimArie Musicali Camozzi, SiFa Orchestra, Coro ProPolis, Big Band Monterosso, Banda Larga, Sweet Barocca (the new this year), Caravan Orkestar and OrcheStrana, directed respectively by Antonella Cuomo, Monica Guerini, Sevil Yalcin, Emilio Maciel, Gigi Brignoli, Maurizio Stefania and Pietro Ragni.
Ragni himself, mandolinist and teacher at Secco Suardo, contact person for music at ProPolis, is the artistic director of the event: «We try to recover and promote the profound meaning of making music together, not at all to the detriment of executive quality. The ones performing are “amateurs”, but of a high level: people from the neighborhood who play “for pleasure”, that is, but with study and commitment and who, even at an advanced age, even enroll at the Conservatory. The acoustics guaranteed by the wooden shell of the Arena are excellent, as well as offering protection in case of rain.” The musicians called together by ProPolis there are over two hundredIn all, most of it is Monterosso.
