TRENT. It won’t be an easy morning today for commuters heading to the capital: in fact, some construction sites are starting which will certainly cause inconvenience and slowdowns on traffic, on the ring road but not only.
Inconveniences especially for those coming from the south (but not only, we will see): first of all at the height of the Ravina flyover: to allow the start of its demolition work (for which, to limit the inconveniences, the link road which can be seen for months in the area of the former barracks, to the right of the route), it will be necessary to move part of the underground service networks.
From today therefore an excavation will have to be carried out with the closure of a hundred meters of the right lane of the northern carriageway. A lane reduction will therefore be activated (from two to one) which will create a bottleneck which will be felt during rush hours.
From 24 June then other works, but beyond the overpass, with further inconveniences and traffic diverted entirely along via al Desert and via Jedin.
From today the junction which from the northern carriageway allows you to reach via Druso, the Trento center roundabout and the viaduct for the Bus de Vela will be closed. Cars and vans will be able to exit early at junction 5 (Motorization) and then head towards the city from Cristo Re, via Sanseverino or via Dos Trent or towards the Bus de Vela from via Brescia.
Heavy vehicles, however, will instead have to continue to exit 7 (Campotrentino) and, if heading to the Bus de Vela, re-enter the ring road – after having faced the purification plant roundabout – in a southerly direction. A detour that is unlikely to clog up both the Campotrentino junction and, more generally, southbound traffic on the ring road between exits 7 and 6 and at the Via Berlin roundabout. The works on exit 6 will continue for about sixty days.
Today the local police will deploy an additional contingent of officers to handle the diversions, in the hope of containing the inconvenience.
