Summer Notes In Cagliari

Summer Notes In Cagliari: The Rocce Rosse Blues Festival Resounds At the Teatro Massimo – XXXIV Edition Program.

Cagliari, 17 June 2024 – Whether you admire the horizon of the Mediterranean sea or the profile of the limestone hills, whether you see the stars or the lights of a city shining, the main fil rouge that Rocce Rosse Blues proposes at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari for its XXXIV edition it is always the same: sharing. Sharing music, ideas and summer nights. From 25 to 30 July the first five events renew an ancient tradition by giving voice to our present.

And if ‘sharing’ perfectly expresses the spirit of the Rocce Rosse Blues tradition which is renewed with this event, it is precisely thanks to a shared planning that allows us to continue to enrich the cultural and live entertainment offering.

Not a simple musical event, but a journey through the sounds that have marked the history of contemporary music. A festival that celebrates the meeting between masters, jazz innovators and world music pioneers, offering a unique and unrepeatable experience.

Every evening, the Teatro Massimo will be the stage for extraordinary performances, where impeccable technique and pure emotion blend, creating a magical and engaging atmosphere. A musical mosaic that celebrates the diversity and depth of the human experience, promising to enchant and surprise.

Their unique approach to music, which combines elements of various genres with intelligent and humorous lyrics, has made them one of the most beloved groups on the Italian music scene.
An invitation to musical reflection

In a world where noise and speed seem to dominate, the Rocce Rosse Blues Festival invites us to rediscover the importance of rhythm and listening. Danilo Rea and Ramin Bahrami, in their project “Adagios in Classical Jazz”, underline the importance of a slower and more reflective approach to life through music. As Bahrami said, “In such frenetic times, full of noise, useless bombs, boyfriends killing their girlfriends and artificial intelligence, we need human intelligence. And this can be recovered with a more ‘slow’ pace.”

The excellence of the Medit Orchestra

Under the direction of Angelo Valori, Medit Orchestra continues to push the boundaries of orchestral music. Their collaboration with Dee Dee Bridgewater is just one of many examples of their ability to blend tradition and innovation, creating performances that are both technically brilliant and emotionally powerful. With a repertoire that ranges from song as a high form of contemporary culture to world premiere performances of innovative compositions, the Medit Orchestra represents the future of orchestral music.

Raphael Gualazzi: a journey without borders

Raphael Gualazzi has captivated audiences around the world with his talent and versatility. From success at the Sanremo Festival to collaboration with international artists, Gualazzi continues to explore new musical horizons, as demonstrated by his latest album “Dreams”. His performance at the Rocce Rosse Blues Festival will be a unique opportunity to see an artist at the peak of his creativity.

An explosive closing with Elio e le Storie Tese

With their combination of satire, musicality and entertainment, Elio e le Storie Tese promise to close the first Cagliari parenthesis of the festival with a performance that will leave the audience wanting more. Their unique approach to music, which combines elements of various genres with intelligent and humorous lyrics, has made them one of the most loved and respected groups on the Italian music scene.

Among the notes of the music of the XXXIV edition, a message of strong collaboration possible thanks to the contribution of the Sardinia Region, Department of Education and Tourism and Sardinia Foundation.
