Everything ready for the “Medieval Night”

BOLSENA is preparing to take a dive into the past with the “Medieval Night”, an initiative organized by Milites gaudium phoenicis and Flag-wavers and musicians of Bolsena, with the patronage of the municipal administration and the collaboration of the Bolsena pro loco.

On May 31st, from 9.30 pm, in Piazza Santa Cristina the historical re-enactment associations Milites gaudium phoenicis, Flag-wavers and musicians of Bolsena, Flag-wavers and musicians of Vetralla, Musici vulpes Poggio di Otricoli, Flag-wavers and musicians of Grutti and Musici semper lucidi of Lugnano in Teverina will give life to an unmissable event with drummers and musicians starring in evocative choreographies, which will end with a musical show. The entry of the groups onto the square will be accompanied by Santa Cristina, played by a girl.

«The Medieval Night opens the weekend leading to the feast of Corpus Domini and the Infiorata in memory of the Eucharistic miracle – explain the Milites Gaudium Phoenicis group -. The presence of Santa Cristina wants to become a tradition and ideally unite the two main religious festivals of Bolsena: that of the patron saint and, indeed, of Corpus Domini. At the end of the evening we will give the participating associations an appeal plaque.”
