Carrara is told moves to Marina di Carrara: Friday 24 May appointment at the Eastern Ligurian Sea Port System Authority

CARRARA – We will talk about the two books “Marina di Carrara. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” by Giorgio Bogazzi and “Memories of the old Marina” by Giovanni Nino Telara, during the next appointment of “Carrara tells its story”, the series of meetings dedicated to books on the culture of the territory, published by SEA, Società Apuana Publishing House. On Friday 24 May at 6.30 pm, the Eastern Ligurian Sea Port System Authority, in Viale Colombo in Marina di Carrara, hosts the presentation of the two books which first described the genesis and development of the Marinello village and its port. Speeches are expected from Daniele Canali and Mario Sommariva, President of the Asp of the Eastern Ligurian Sea. Entrance is free.

The “Carrara tells its story” event is organized by the Municipality with the collaboration of the Giorgio Conti Foundation and the Accademia Albericiana of Carrara: the aim is to promote local culture collected in essays, guides, novels, fairy tales, fables and legends and handed down also in anecdotes, popular sayings, nursery rhymes, lullabies, songs, a culture which risks, if not fixed on paper, disappearing forever. The final meeting will be held on Friday 31 May, at 6.30 pm, at the Ridotto del Teatro degli Animosi, entitled “Carrara at the table”, with Alma Vittoria Cordiviola, Alvise Lazzareschi and Filippo Tenderini, introduced by Cristina Andrei.
