The Umbrian Masks of the Commedia dell’Arte on stage in Massa Martana

The Consortium Theater of Massa Martana (PG) will host the show “Lessons of Love“, which will feature the famous Umbrian Masks of the Commedia dell’Arte. This project, always supported by the Landscape Laboratory, is a tribute to the seventeenth century and the tradition of the Commedia dell’Arte.

The Umbrian Masks, played by Martina Giannini (Rosalinda), Stefano Ferrotti (Nasoacciaccato), Francesco Michelini (Nasotorto) and Marco Fioretti (Chicchirichella), will be accompanied by very talented artists. Luca Alcini will play the role of Balanzone, Carolina Giannini will be a lively Colombina, and Lucrezia Beco will play a splendid courtesan. The role of Pulcinella will be entrusted to the versatile performer and soprano Francesca Romana Garroni, who will add a unique touch to the show.

The soundtrack of the show was curated by Francesco Contili, with villanelle compositions performed by Marco Venturi on the harpsichord and Sara Montani on the baroque violin. The choreographies were created by Maria Cristina Adriatico, while the original costumes were the work of Paola Contili, who also took care of the direction and scenography.

“Lezioni d’Amore” promises to offer the public a fun experience full of references to the Umbrian tradition. The show is a lively and ironic testimony to the local cultural heritage, enriched by quips and jokes typical of the Commedia dell’Arte. Paola Contili created a highly successful creative work, guaranteeing an evening of pure fun.

The Umbrian Masks are known and requested in many Italian cities, from Mondovì di Cuneo to Milan at the Expo, from Parma to the Bardi Castle, from Varallo di Vercelli to Stupinigi and Verona. With their performances, they continue to bring Umbria and their home town, Avigliano Umbro, to Italy and the world, promoting the region’s rich theatrical tradition.

Spectators are invited to book tickets, also via WhatsApp, on the numbers 3405172014 and 3482267394, to secure a place at this unmissable event. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend “Lezioni d’Amore” and live a unique theatrical experience in the heart of Umbria.
