The walls of the Ferrara hotel host the exhibition entitled ‘Illustrated tour in the heart of the city’, whose inauguration took place on Thursday 20 June. An exhibition made up of 36 illustrations curated by The Ferrareser association, which represents the first step in a series of joint initiatives.

Participating in the ribbon cutting were Guido Guidi, president and CEO of The Begin Hotels group, and Eugenio Ciccone, president of the association ‘The Ferrarese. Focused on the most iconic city elements, the exhibition will be present throughout the summer. The inauguration event was an opportunity to accompany the participants to a route in five stages in which five of the illustrators involved in the project also took part.
The initiative is the first event which the Marche collection, recently in the city with the management of the Ferrara hotel, intends to promote to make the structure a place to tell the story of the city of Este not only for tourists, but also for the citizens themselves. In this regard, Guido Guidi focused on the salient points of the renovation and revaluation project of the Ferrara hotel, designed by Nick Maltese Studio, named among the 20 most important emerging designers by Ad Italia magazine.
“We entered Ferrara on tiptoe only in December – explained Guidi – to get to know the atmosphere of the city. Today this is the opportunity for us to thank the collaboration we have found. Like every structure in our collection, the The Ferrara hotel will become a space not only for those arriving in the city, but also for those who live there every day. The exhibition inaugurates the beginning of this project and affirms our desire to open up to the local realities that we consider the lifeblood for tell the destination“.
At the end of the event, Eugenio Ciccone, president of the ‘The Ferrareser’ association, also spoke and thanked The Begin Hotels group. “We are happy – underlined Ciccone – with the proposed collaboration with the Ferrara hotel, a company that has recently arrived in our area and which immediately proved to be sensitive and attentive to valorising ideas and people like our group of illustrators. The project will see us involved in a series of initiatives together in the coming months, in balance between art and writingto tell the city through words and illustration”.
