The evolution in the treatment of endocrinological diseases and the changes brought about by the introduction of new endocrine drugs into clinical practice. This is the focus of the conference entitled “Progress in endocrinology. The new drugs” which will be held tomorrow at the Auditorium Nuovo Padiglione Ospedale Misericordia starting from 8.15am.
The initiative – which has the patronage of the Association of Endocrinologists and is aimed at endocrinologist specialists, internal medicine specialists, oncologists, dieticians and general practitioners – is part of the framework of profound innovation from a pharmacological point of view in the field of endocrinology which will modify the clinical approach to patients and of which the doctor must know the existence, indications, interactions and limits.
“The organization of this conference arises from the need for an indispensable clinical update relating to the growing development of new therapies and in light of recent scientific advances – explains Marco Capezzone, Director of UOSD Endocrinology at Misericordia Grosseto Hospital – It will also be an opportunity to clarify the effects of these therapies, underlining what the correct follow-up tests are. Each topic will be addressed by experts from the national panorama who have contributed and continue to contribute to today’s scientific research, who will illustrate the modern and innovative therapeutic approaches from a theoretical and practical point of view”.
