LATINASaturday 18 May 2024 returns Slow Food Day, the Slow Food network celebration throughout Italy. It is the day in which all the territorial and regional associations and communities organize events in the squares, in the producers’ companies with the chefs of the Alliance. All initiatives that want to highlight the awareness behind the daily choices that testify to our vision of a good, clean, fair and healthy relationship between women, men and nature. Reaffirmation of the true value of food and consequent rediscovery of the pleasure of taste.
There are two appointments in Latina.

SLOW APERITIF IN THE VINEYARDFriday 17 May 2024 waiting for Slow Food Day, from 5.30 pm until sunset, in the setting of the vineyards ofwinery “Cantina Villa Gianna” you will be able to taste the historical and seasonal products of the period and the territory: broad beans, pecorino, scrocchiarella and porchetta, accompanied by the excellent wines of the hosts and Alektron’s DJ set. AGRICULTURESaturday 18 May 2024 at 10:00 the appointment is with the “Agricola Marasca” company (Via Migliara 53 1/2) in Pontinia for a day at discovery of the tomato. “We will get to know in more depth – they explain from Slow Food – one of the excellences of our Pontine territory; the day will be spent inside the “Agricola Marasca”, a large and beautiful production company not only for tomatoes but also for organic pasta and extra virgin olive oil, recognized in the “Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2024″ guide. The day will be enriched by a short educational walk in the heart of production, to discover up close the delicate phases of transplanting seedlings into the field; unique opportunity to experience first-hand the cultivation on a path to sustainability.
