Even an NBA champion on the Knights’ parquet! Today Shaun Livingston he was at PalaBorsani as part of the staff following Dalen Terry on the Italian tour. Livingston, who attended Richwoods High School, then is with Peoria Central High School in Illinois, and was rated the best freshman throughout high school; he had accepted a scholarship to Duke University, but then opted to forgo college and become eligible for the 2004 draft, in which the Clippers selected him with the 4th overall pick.
After a brilliant start to his career, on 26 February 2007 he suffered a knee injury which kept him out for the whole season and even raised fears for his career; in fact, during a game, he had a bad fall which caused the rupture of the two cruciate ligaments (anterior and posterior), the medial collateral ligament, the lateral meniscus and, furthermore, the dislocation of the patella.
There is a risk, according to doctors, of amputation of the leg. In July 2008 he got the OK from the doctors to start training again. After wearing 9 NBA jerseys, in 2014 he joined the Golden State Warriors with whom he played 5 seasons, winning 3 NBA titles with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in 2015, 2017, 2018. At the end of 367 games and 1,990 points with the Bay Area franchise , leaves basketball and becomes a coach.
