Meanwhile in the morning, before lunch, on the Corriere della Sera an interview had come out with Davide Casaleggio, son of the founder Gianroberto.
According to him, the decline of the M5S in the European elections would have depended on wrong choices made by Giuseppe Conte: “Replacement of participation with decisions from above, centrality of the program with that of the leader, principles with polls. Certainly the structural alliance with the Democratic Party promoted by Conte has led voters to vote for the original or refrain“.
Casaleggio listed the data of the flop: “At the Politici (September 2022, ed.) the Movement lost 6 million votesat the European Championships another 2 million“.
He himself spoke of growing “internal dissent” “after a disastrous electoral outcome”: essentially, according to Davide Casaleggio, there would now be a negotiation on the roof of the two mandates.
