“I inform the City Council that, with reference to the payment request forwarded by Ata on 20 September 2021 and 14 December 2023 for alleged services, for the safety measures and for the partial closure and post-operational management of the Cima Montà landfill , the lawyer of the Municipality of Savona, lawyer Mauceri, communicated to the lawyer of Ata, lawyer Soprano that, after having examined the documentation sent by Ata itself, it is believed that nothing is owed by the Municipality of Savona and that, therefore, no no payment will be made.”
Mayor Marco Russo, at the beginning of today’s First Council Commission, communicated to the councilors Palazzo Sisto’s position on ATA’s warning of the payment of 2.6 million spent by the subsidiary for the closure and post-mortem management of the Cima Montà landfill .
“Furthermore, the Municipality of Savona – adds Russo – will invite the company in the next few days to promptly follow up on the operations necessary to reach the conclusion of the composition with creditors, starting from the distribution in favor of the creditors”.
The warning was sent to the Municipality by the former sole administrator Gianluca Tapparini and subsequently by Simona Ferrando. Last May, Palazzo Sisto decided to turn to the lawyer Giovanni Bravo, an expert in insolvency, corporate and bankruptcy law, both in the judicial and extrajudicial fields, alongside the lawyer Mauceri to study the documentation and decide which position to take.
The Administration had asked the lawyer to carry out his duties by May 31st in order to respond to Ata by the end of June. The acquisition of the opinion of the lawyer Bravo, explained the Municipality “as reiterated by the lawyer in charge, takes on extreme importance in the economy of the matter and requires the formal response to the lawyer Soprano (Ata’s lawyer, ed.), to be forwarded by the end June to the company Ata spa in agreement, as established with the judicial commissioner of Ata spa”.
