The presentation of the book will be followed by a buffet aperitif offered by SPI CGIL Cremona.

“Cremona, antediluvian capital” is a one-of-a-kind illustrated book, born from the travel notes of a mysterious tourist visiting Cremona. The notes, written in beautiful calligraphy and enriched with drawings made with ink and nib, describe Cremona at the end of the 19th century with a comical and sarcastic tone. This narrative style highlights the contradictions of a city suspended between a glorious past and a more rustic provincial reality.

The book represents a historical document of great value, offering readers the opportunity to reflect on how we were and how others saw us. It is not just a simple diary, but a story that celebrates the cultural and social richness of a now lost era.

SPI CGIL Cremona invites all history, culture and literature enthusiasts to participate in this special event.

It will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the late nineteenth century and to discover a new aspect of our city.
