CORIGLIANO-ROSSANO – One dead person, Maria Rosa Boccuti, 41 years old, and six injured, are the toll from yet another road tragedy which occurred in the early afternoon of today in Corigliano-Rossano, on State Road 106 at the roundabout of Lampa Bucita, between the Coserie viaduct and the urban center of Toscano.
It is the Carabinieri of the Co-Ro Territorial Department, led by Colonel Gianmarco Filippi, who clarify the dynamics of the impact in which three vehicles were involved, a Fiat panda, an Audi stationwagon and a van.
The firefighters of the Cosenza Command, Corigliano Rossano detachment, operated on site. The deceased woman was on board the Fiat Panda while the little girl who was on board the same car was transferred by air ambulance to a hospital in Crotone. The intervention of the VVF agents served to extract two further injured people from the wreckage who were entrusted to the healthcare personnel of the Suem118 for the necessary treatment and subsequent transfer to a hospital facility.
The community of Crosia Mirto was shocked and painfully learned of the passing of its fellow citizen, yet another from the Traentine town who lost her life on the infamous road to death.
