Change at the top of the Varese Police Headquarters, with Michele Morelli leaving the baton to Carlo Mazza, from Saturday 1st June at the helm of the State Police of our province. For the occasion, the outgoing commissioner wanted to extend a greeting to the people of Varese, thanking institutions and citizens.
«As I prepare to leave the Varese Police Headquarters – Morelli’s words – I address a heartfelt and personal farewell to all those, Parliamentarians, civil, military and religious Authorities of the Province, exponents of the Judicial Order, members of the other Police Forces , Local Police, exponents of the world of culture, work and school, belonging to Associations, Professional Bodies and Orders, Information Bodies as well as ordinary citizens have had collaborative relationships with the undersigned and with the State Police. Not infrequently, a feeling of friendship has been added to these relationships which, I am sure, will not be lost in the future.”
«The almost three years spent in this magnificent province – continued Morelli – have allowed us to strengthen solid institutional agreements and this has represented the basis for implementing a valid security system, based not only on the contribution of the Police Forces and under the coordination of the Prefect, but also on the contribution of all those who, operating in the same territorial context, are committed in the relevant sectors for the benefit of citizens, to improve the quality of life and for the progress of civil society: a full and effective implementation, in short, of “participatory security”.
