Don’t make any commitments from 24 to 28 June 2024. Save the dates and, above all, join the First Summer Training Camp dedicated to girls and boys – as stated in the poster – Under 17 – 15 – 14 – 13. It will be held in Caltanissetta, at the Pala Cannizzaro.
It is an Airam Basket Caltanissetta & Miners initiative. It is under the technical direction of Francesco Anselmo (meritorious national coach), “with our friends Ilaria Milazzo, Ruben Zugno and many others!”. There are several sponsors and, mainly (let us be biased, every now and then), there is – media partner – our Radio RCS Sicily.
“We are waiting for you from 24 to 28 June at the Pala Cannizzaro in Caltanissetta: it will be a fantastic opportunity to refine your technique and game fundamentals, be together and have fun. Become a Miner too… you won’t regret it”, declare the promoters (for info and registration go to our website https://www.clminers.it – the organizers also inform).
“We are a group of basketball enthusiasts, who after many years spent on the fields as simple fans, players, coaches and managers, decide to give back what they have received so far from this wonderful sport and offer local young people the opportunity to grow and have fun through creation of a new sports project”, they explain.

Substantially, Asd CL Miners is an ambitious project, “projected into the future, with the aim of building a basketball team and making it a point of reference and excellence in the Sicilian basketball panorama. The sports project goes hand in hand with an explicit educational desire, with which we intend to contribute to the growth of our children”.
“A comparison that might seem audacious, considering the clear difference between the contexts and eras that characterize them. However, we wish to bring them closer since they represent a unique expression of the Nissena identity”, highlight the organizers.
“Just as the search for the precious underground blends with effort and determination, in basketball, players dig into their physical and mental resources to achieve excellence on the field, highlighting sacrifice and team spirit. Might this seem like an excessive comparison? Perhaps. It is certainly true and sincere.”
“We want to take inspiration from the NBA experience, for the sense of modernity and attractiveness it represents – they conclude -. However, without losing the reference to our territory.”
