Subject: Municipality of Foggia – Union ordinance n. 21 of 8 May 2024 – market day shift. URGENT REVOCATION REQUEST.
Following up on our. of 8 May 2024, with which we were contesting the decision to postpone, a few hours before the event, the weekly market scheduled in the municipality of Foggia for Friday 10 May 2024 to Saturday 11 May 2024,
GIVEN:
– that the measure to postpone the market was never shared;
– that this provision arrives untimely or with an inconsiderate timing;
– that to date the municipality of Foggia has not sent any communication via Certified Electronic Mail or with any other communication tool, nor was there ever any communication given to the parking concessionaires of the weekly market in via Miranda last Friday of the date shift;
– that this move finds no comfort or motivation, indeed it is clearly against the law with respect to the provisions of the current Regional Code of Commerce of the Puglia Region, as well as causing enormous damage, not only economic;
– that failure to communicate to each parking concessionaire could lead to serious and concrete problems, including public order, for tomorrow, Friday 10 May 2024;
– that, as a Representative Association, we act to protect the category and the numerous members of our parking concessionaires in the market in question who, moreover, like hundreds, were not able to be represented at the tables that the municipality claims to have convened but where also the writeraccredited, was neither summoned nor heard, even though she was then the recipient of the contested order;
In light of the above, declining any responsibility with respect to opinions and measures taken, we are ASKING, even in the form of a warning, to revoke union ordinance no. 21 of 8 May 2024, providing for the regular holding of the weekly market on the pre-established day of Friday 10 May 2024 in the market area of via Miranda, which is also not affected and not in conflict with the university event, declaring itself available to evaluate the possibility of holding it of a market, in an extraordinary edition as required by regional law, on Saturday.
