Fermo – The prestigious recognition of “Marchigians of the Year” was awarded to the two young entrepreneurs Elisa and Paolo Scendoni, in recognition of their significant contribution to the industry and community of the Marche region.
The ceremony took place in Rome, in the presence of numerous important personalities, in the Chapter Room of the Senate of the Republic. The prestigious recognition, established in 1986 by Professor Armando Mazzoni, then President of Ce.S.Ma – Centro Studi Marche “G. Giunchi”, is awarded annually to deserving people from the Marche region in the professional, scientific, artistic, cultural and social fields. Elisa and Paolo Scendoni are known for their commitment to the family business, the Salumificio Ciriaci of Ortezzano, in the Fermo area.
The awarding of the “Marchigians of the Year” award to these two young entrepreneurs celebrates two prominent personalities who they embody and materialize the spirit of excellence of the Marche region every day in the family business. Their commitment and dedication to work constitute a source of inspiration for the entire Marche community.
Here are the reasons that led to the assignment. Elisa, thanks «to the significant contribution made to the family business ‘Salumificio Ciriaci’. With managerial vivacity he implemented effective commercial strategies that projected the company towards new markets. Following tradition, it has integrated craftsmanship with industrial production, investing in innovation, enhancing human capital and empowering people to protect local resources”.
The award was given to Paolo with the following motivation: «With his entrepreneurial flair he gave impetus to technological innovation in the company, also thanks to the values handed down by his grandparents, namely ‘origins, tradition and quality’. He receives the award for his professional merits, for the attention he pays to social issues by supporting notable projects in the Marche region and for his commitment to food protection”.
In addition to their professional successes, Elisa and Paolo are active community members, supporting local projects and charitable initiatives that have a lasting impact on the social context of our region.
During the ceremony, Elisa expressed gratitude for the recognition, underlining the importance of teamwork and commitment to the Territory. Paolo emphasized the legacy of family values and the importance of innovating while maintaining traditions. “This award is an incredible honor. – Elisa stated in her speech – We are deeply grateful to be recognized for our work and our commitment to our beloved region”. Paolo added: “This recognition is not just ours, but that of all those who have supported and inspired us along the way.” Elisa concludes: “it is an honor to receive this award together with my brother Paolo and to be close to many extraordinary personalities of our region”.
