De Luca’s distinctions between accommodation facilities such as B&Bs and hotels create contrasts between operators. What is needed instead is a tourist vision, a strategy that President De Luca hinders with his differentiations. Salerno, and Campania as a whole, need not only adequate accommodation facilities, but also to create an attractive tourist network for visitors that can provide services on par with other European cities. I would like to remind the Governor of Campania that Salerno is in 88th place for quality of life and 97th for environment and services out of 105 cities. Instead of creating friction within the sector, create the conditions for everyone to benefit from an adequate tourism offer. As a full member of the Transport and Tourism Commission of the European Parliament, I obtained the inclusion of Salerno’s “Amalfi Coast” Airport in the TEN-T network with the aim of reaching 4,000,000 travelers per year.
