Tonight Taranto will play the first round of the playoffs valid for promotion to Serie B. There is only one available place, there are twenty-seven teams on the field and they represent the three groups of the Lega Pro.

Capuano’s team starts from fifth place in the standings and is therefore forced to start from the first round, facing Latina. Without the penalty (-4) confirmed by all levels of sporting judgment for administrative reasons, the rossoblu would have come in second place and would have waited for the quarter-finals, saving themselves the first two rounds of the group stage and directly accessing the national phase. That’s not how it happened but – to quote Capuano – from tonight onwards no episode, play or possible unfavorable combination will ever be able to invalidate this exceptional competitive season conducted by his Taranto from the first to the last day. A year that began with the fire at the Curva Sud and ended with four points less… but which recorded 20 victories and 69 points on the field. In short, however these playoffs will go… it was already a success for a squad built with attention to costs, not to forget the departure of important players in January (well replaced).

Tonight ball in the center at Iacovone at 8.30pm. We are running out of available places.
