Aosta, appeal from a desperate owner: 300 euros to whoever finds me a waiter

I offer 300 euros to whoever finds me a waiter“. This is the appeal launched by the owner of the Saint-Vout bistro, a restaurant located in front of the Arch of Augustus. Our weekly Gazzetta Matin reports it.

Luca Tentoni, the owner of the restaurant, tried them all and in the end he decided to send a message complete with an incentive on his social channels. «Do you have a relative or a friend who isn’t very social? Let us know and have him send you your CV. If you are hired, we will be happy to thank you for your help, giving you a voucher worth 300 euros to spend at Saint-Vout or Blooker Store”, he reads. Translated. The frantic search for workers in today’s era. For information, ask the Bristrot Saint-Vout in via Garibaldi, in Aosta, which after a long search for staff, exploring all possible avenues, has decided to play not only the social media card, but also that of a voucher prize to whoever was able to physically bring the much-needed worker.

Head hunters

For heaven’s sake, as also written last week in the in-depth analysis of Gazzetta Matin, which has felt the (decidedly feeble) pulse of the various trade associations, united by a strenuous search for personnel with very few results, the thing is now well known in this new world. But here it seems we are ready to reach new heights in the staff treasure hunt.

«I honestly no longer know which ways to try to find employees – says Luca Tentoni -. We placed adverts, made numerous investments on Subito.it, tried word of mouth and now we have decided to make this attempt too. I also wanted to understand the possible potential of social media, but at the moment, despite having also done targeted sponsorships, we have only received one response.”

In short, there is no staff to be found, except for the occasional willing person on call. «I know well that the situation is like this almost everywhere, as can be seen from the dialogue with colleagues – continues Tentoni -, but now only someone comes to ask for the weekend. We offer full-time and permanent commercial contracts, but this doesn’t seem to be of interest.”

In-depth analysis in Gazzetta Matin on Monday 6 May.
