The State Police has further intensified control of the territory. Attention was paid to Como’s nightlife venues and the areas with the greatest concentration of criminals.
During the night just gone by, a Renault was checked in a supermarket car park in Montano Lucino. The car had previously been reported in the via Anzani area. The occupants would in turn have been indicated because they had suspicious attitudes. A 23-year-old Italian citizen of African origins was on board the car last night. After the check, more than 6 grams of hashish were seized from the young man. Considering that the car he was using had been rented by a Senegalese resident in Carate Urio (CO), the 23-year-old had his driving license appropriately withdrawn.
In the meantime, two other patrol cars carried out checks on patrons in a public place in via Anzani and another check on a large group of young people who had gathered in Piazza Gobetti.
In total, 39 people were identified, 8 of whom had criminal or police records.
