L’Tradizione Futuro association announces its next conference on Urban Planning, entitled “Reverse the speculation. Urban planning changes course: comparing ideas for urban regeneration“. The event will take place on May 11th from 10.30 am at Salon of the Moka Bar in Salerno.
The meeting is part of the cycle of meetings promoted by the association and called “Informazione Salerno”, which began last February with a round table on the city’s economy. The conference will be a unique opportunity to examine and discuss the urban planning situation in the city, with particular attention to urban regeneration and the fight against speculation.
“This meeting, which follows the previous one on the economy, first of all gives continuity to the Salerno Inversion initiative”, say the promoters. “The theme of urban planning is decisive for the future of any city and, in particular, for Salerno which, in its physical space, seems to be undergoing an anachronistic idea of development”.
The speakers come from different experiences and skills in the fields of architecture, public administration and law, ready to share innovative ideas and perspectives:
- Rosario Pedutospokesperson for the Tradizione Futuro Association, will introduce the conference.
- Alberto Cuomoprofessor emeritus of Architectural Design at the University of Naples Federico II, known for his contribution in the field of architectural composition.
- Fausto Martinoformer Councilor for Urban Planning of the Municipality of Salerno and Superintendent of the metropolitan city of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia, will bring his experience in the field of urban planning.
- Marcello Feolaadministrative lawyer and university professor, will provide an in-depth analysis on legal issues related to urban planning.
- Josi Gerardo Della RagioneMayor of Bacoli, will share the challenges and successes in the recent approval of the Municipal Urban Plan.
The conference will be moderated by Andrea Pellegrinodirector of L’Ora, who will guarantee a dynamic and in-depth discussion.
