L’AQUILA – “The State Regions Conference has approved the 5 million euro financing for the completion of the recovery works of the Municipal Theatre of L’Aquila. In this phase, the intervention of the Ministry of Culture was decisive, Gennaro Sangiuliano, with whom the dialogue was constant and fruitful”. The mayor of the Abruzzo capital, Pierluigi Biondi, announced the news.
The allocation, included in the strategic plan for major cultural heritage projects promoted by the Minister of Culture, will be included in a specific ministerial decree which must be examined and registered by the Court of Auditors.
“I am confident – comments the mayor – about the positive outcome of the findings that the accounting and judicial body of the State will carry out after today’s pronouncement of the State Regions Conference which I thank together with Minister Sangiuliano, and the national government for the commitment and sensitivity shown towards our city”.
The announcement of resources for the Municipal Theatreentitled to Nazzareno De Angeliswas given last February, precisely in L’Aquila, on the occasion of the signing between the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and the President of the Abruzzo Region, Marcus Marsilioof the Cohesion Agreement 2021-2027.
