“Enough! Enough! Enough! Enough! Enough! But this is not how tourists are welcomed! Castle still closed! I’m tired of giving information and excuses for the closed Castle!”. With this message on Facebook, a trader from the Castello area, right in the center of Reggio Calabria, he vents. For a week Ryanair made its debut in the city. Today, among other things, the May Day concert in Via Marina. Yet one of the most important, historical and iconic monuments of Reggio is closed to tourists, as can be seen from the accompanying images.
That the presence of tourists has increased with the latest flights is confirmed by the requests on the possibilities of visiting the Castle. The trader, involuntarily, finds himself acting as an information box, forced to find excuses for the closed Castle. A great shame that one of the city’s business cards remains closed. Not exactly a beautiful image for those who have arrived in Reggio Calabria with the intention of perhaps returning.
