Catanzaro-Cremonese in the name of the former Edi Bivi double

Catanzaro-Cremonese in the name of the former Edi Bivi double

Many goals for Bivi both with Catanzaro and with Cremonese: he scored in both… with both shirts

The best scorer of the match between Catanzaro and Cremonese is an unexpected one: Edi Bivi. Born in ’60, Friulian from Lignano Sabbiadoro, the former striker played for both teams in the 1980s and scored 3 goals when the two teams challenged each other in those years. First of all, Bivi arrived in Catanzaro in 1981 with the Serie A team: 12 goals, seventh place in the championship and semi-final of the Italian Cup. The following year ends with relegation, but in the Cup they challenge Cremonese for the first time: 4-1 success at Ceravolo, Bivi is among the scorers. In 1983-84 his Catanzaro was relegated again, but he was the striker with 14 goals, including one again against Cremonese (who instead went up to Serie A) in the 2-1 defeat at Zini. Bivi will go to Bari and Triestina then he landed in Cremona in 1988: he won promotion to Serie A, scoring the decisive goal against Catanzaro at Ceravolo: 0-1 (this is Cremo’s last home win so far in history).
