VENICE – The “blue sticker” will return to Venice to avoid the repetition of checks on pleasure craft. The measure, already tested in previous years, was decided by the provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, which took place today – 30 April – in the Prefecture. At the center of the meeting, convened by the Prefect Darco Pellos, are the issues relating to the management of safety in the entertainment sector, the prevention of illegal activity and the planning of measures to protect citizens and tourists in view of the summer season.
Furthermore, to combat the so-called “bad nightlife”, a prevention strategy was shared, with the assistance of the Local Police in the territorial control services of the Police Force. To prevent illegal commercial activity, especially on the beaches, attention was drawn to the opportunity of a widespread awareness and empowerment activity towards customers, with the aim of promoting the culture of legality, so that awareness is further developed that encouraging illegal trade causes damage to the economy.
