Femicide Aosta, extradition granted for Sohaib Teima

From the French prison in Grenoble, Sohaib Teima, a 21-year-old from Fermo arrested in Lyon last Wednesday and “seriously suspected” by the Aosta prosecutor’s office of the femicide of his partner, the 22-year-old Frenchwoman Auriane Nathalie Laisne, gave his consent to the extradition to Italy. The young woman was stabbed to death and then found dead on April 5 in a small ruined church above La Salle, in Valle d’Aosta. Tomorrow Teima will appear before the judges of the ‘chambre de l’instruction’ of the Court of Appeal of Grenoble, who will have to express their opinion on her surrender after the European arrest warrant issued by Italy. The decision is expected within seven days.

Fermo Sohaib Teima, arrested in Lyon last Wednesday, “categorically rejects any accusation regarding the murder” of his partner: this was declared by the lawyer Lucia Lupi, who is assisting the young man with her colleague Igor Giostra in the Italian criminal proceedings.
