Latina / Via del Mare, work completed between Borgo Grappa and Rio Martino

LATINA – The renovation works on Via del Mare, between Borgo Grappa and Rio Martino, have been completed. This morning the mayor Matilde Celentano and the deputy mayor and councilor for public works Massimiliano Carnevale carried out an inspection of the street, which will be reopened to traffic from tomorrow.

“The reconstruction of the road was eagerly awaited by the citizens – declares Mayor Celentano – because it represents one of the most important connecting routes of the city with Borgo Grappa and the marina. The works completed today are in addition to those already carried out on via Nascosa, in the stretch of via del Lido that goes from via dell’Agora to the Ponte di Ferro, on part of strada Corta, in via Monti, in the roundabout of via Ezio and in the roundabout of Viale Le Corbusier, in Via Migliata 41.5, in part of Strada del Saraceno and other streets of Latina. A sign that our administration is working on road safety, starting from those with the worst conditions.”

“The works on Via del Mare – says deputy mayor Carnevale – affected approximately one kilometer of road. Action has been taken on the roots of the trees, to prevent the previous situation from returning quickly, with an intervention on the root system with an anti-root barrier, in addition to the complete reconstruction of the road which represents an important connection hub for the entire Latina territory”.
