In the suggestive environments of the Teatro della Fortuna, the filming of the Docufilm signed by Andrea Lodovichetti, Luca Caprara And Nicholas Nicoletti.
The project, which started on 1 September 2023, had a long and complex gestation, such was the amount of work to be managed in order to tell, as it deserves, this important element of the city’s identity. On the occasion of the scene filmed in the theatre, the Fano director Leandro Castellani was also called for a cameo: an honor and an enormous pleasure to have been able to host Maestro Castellani on the set – the authors state with satisfaction – His presence, his authority together with his verve and enthusiasm in taking part in the filming truly filled our hearts with pride.
The technical team is large, coordinated by Francesco Appoggettorecently nominated producer ai Donatello’s David for “as for us” by Simone Massi and from Lorenzo Bastianelli. All the professionals involved, around 20 people, are from the Marche region and will be presented during the promotion of the film.
An exciting team effort through which, as well as for the previous work FISHING, we intend to tell our vision of the Fano Carnival which, being personal, does not imply any presumption of exhaustiveness. What we should expect is therefore the story of an Idea, a Dream of which especially we Fano people are, or should be, proud custodians – point out Lodovichetti, Caprara and Nicoletti.
Soon on the big screen together with papier-mâché floats, sweets, confetti and streamers, so we’ll see Simone Diotallevialready known in the city for impersonating for a few years now “Vulon” and the little one Edoardo Davide Pignataro, chosen after a long series of auditions. The film will also contain a selection of archive images never seen before, a great source of pride for those responsible for the work who point out: the participation of our fellow citizens in this project was extraordinary. Not only for their willingness to grant us space, material and active support, but also for giving us old family films recovered from attics and cellars which are, truly, pure emotion.
Not all the material collected, including for example the interviews, will be present in the film but part of this documentation will be given to the nascent “Carnival Factory” so that it can be visible to the city even beyond the film’s closing credits .
The film, made with regional and ministerial funds, was commissioned by the Municipality of Fano with the collaboration of the Carnival Authority and the support of various public and private city entities, including the Theater Foundation and the National Association of Sailors Italy. The preview is scheduled for September, coinciding with the start of the 2024/2025 film season.
