The Cassa di Ravenna, as part of the initiatives to enhance private collecting and artistic culture, presents the exhibition “1913-2024: 111″ at the Private Banking of Ravenna in Piazza del Popolo, n.30, until May 1st. years of Giallorossi passion”, a journey into the history of the city’s football team through the players’ uniforms, pennants, memorabilia and memories of over a century of matches, triumphs and disappointments that have fascinated generations and generations of fans.

The exhibition is promoted by Roberto Armari, a Ravenna native born in 1982, a Ravenna Calcio fan who has been collecting uniforms worn by his favorites and material from his city’s team for 15 years. Each uniform has a particular story: perhaps donated by a symbolic player, purchased in a charity fundraiser as happened for the earthquake in Emilia in 2012 or the flood in Sardinia in 2013, given as a gift by a friend who passed away gone too soon or recovered adventurously through personal acquaintances and relationships.

A match slip, a pin, a postcard, a poster, a magazine tell this wonderful story that no Ravenna fan, nor any football or sports enthusiast, from all over Italy and the world, can miss these days: as for many decades no fan missed ‘the result’ of Ravenna which was displayed every Sunday afternoon and then throughout the week on the noticeboard of the National Bar, right next to the windows of this exhibition set up by Lino Venturi with the supervision of Giorgio Sarti, Deputy Vice President of the Cassa di Ravenna and has always been the tireless soul of the highly appreciated exhibitions of history, culture, customs and traditions of our wonderful city.
