AGI – Rai Italia brings the final of the Italian men’s volleyball championship to the world. The final phase of the tournament begins on Thursday 18 April, and the series of matches between Perugia and Monza – a sort of rematch of the Italian Cup won by the Umbrians – will be shown on the five continents also on Rai Italia which followed the entire championship since the first match of the season.
The Umbrians, second in the regular season, eliminated Verona and Milan during the first two rounds of the playoffs, while the Brianza team is the great revelation of the tournament: after fifth place in the championship, in fact, they eliminated first Civitanova and then the champions of Italy in charge of Trento, and always away, conquering the opponents’ building in the decisive game 5.
On the eve of the final series, however, the Umbrian battleship will start with all the underdogs and will go in search of the second tricolor in its history after the one won in 2018 and the five defeats between 2014 and 2022. First final in history for the Brianza, who have already won the spot for next year’s Champions League anyway. The Perugia-Monza final series will begin in Umbria on Thursday 18 April, with the first ball playable at 8.30pm and the story live on RaiSport HD and Rai Italia by Maurizio Colantoni and Andrea Lucchetta.
