The Final for 3rd place Play Off Scudetto Credem Banca 2024 opens on Wednesday 17 April at the «Il T daily Arena» in Trento.
Itas Trentino is preparing to face Allianz Milano in the best-of-five series which will award the winner qualification to the 2025 CEV Champions League. Race 1 starts at 8.30 pm: live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT platform VBTV.

Here Itas Trentino
Three days before game 5 of the Semi-final, the yellow-blue team returns to the pitch in front of their fans to try to confirm themselves for the sixth consecutive year among the participants in the highest continental trophy.

«We must be good at immediately turning the page to immerse ourselves in the new confrontation that we are about to undertake and live these last three weeks of activity with a single objective: to go beyond everything, in search of hidden resources, – underlined during the presentation the coach Fabio Soli. – The boys have spent a lot throughout the season and even more in this last period in which bad luck took Sbertoli away from us, who will not actually be available to play for another ten days.
«The importance of the races that await us and our desire to compete for the next goals will be the stimulus that will guide us in our daily work and in every race we face.
«We will challenge a Milan team that has demonstrated all its value in these Play Offs, both in the quarter-finals by eliminating Piacenza, and in the semi-final with Perugia, which reached game 4.
«The bitterness of the epilogue of the series just concluded with Monza is natural, but the awareness that, one ball at a time, we will have the possibility of adding something precious to the positive things done so far will once again be the fire in the soul of this team.”

In addition to the Italian director (who will in any case go on the scoresheet), Itas Trentino will also have to do without spiker Daniele Lavia: the tests carried out today highlighted a low-grade lesion of the rectus abdominis which will prevent him from taking part in the match .

New final and opponent in the championship play-offs
The twenty-first participation in the Play Offs in the history of Trentino Volley is underway; after having come close to reaching the tenth Scudetto Final in its history, the Via Trener Club will take part for the first time in the match that assigns 3rd place (introduced only in the 2022/23 season by the Lega Volleyball Series A), against a opponent like Milan who has never found his way before in this phase of the Italian championship.
It will be the 1,040th men’s match for the Via Trener Club, the 479th home match (378 wins, 100 defeats).

The opponents
Allianz Milano is preparing to play the second Final for 3rd place in its history in as many editions that the Serie A Volleyball League has organised.
Since this formula was introduced to assign the last vacant pass for the CEV Champions League, the Milanese club has always taken part in it.
In the previous season they faced this play-off without finding much luck, defeated by Piacenza against whom they didn’t even win a set in the three matches played. On this occasion he returns with renewed ambitions and with greater energy than the opponent he will challenge, taking into account that he has had six days to prepare for the appointment.
The team coached by Roberto Piazza lost in the semi-final to Perugia, selling dearly in all four matches of the series (in which they always won at least one set) and legitimizing their second consecutive presence in European cups.
The most awaited player is certainly Matey Kaziyski who will set foot for the first time at the IlT Daily Arena since the banner with his number 1 shirt (retired by Trentino Volley in January) was installed on the roof.
Together with the opposite player Reggers and the spiker Ishikawa he forms a very effective high ball trio that director Porro knows how to exploit fully.
