Pistoia, the mayor meets the US ambassador

This morning an institutional meeting was held between the mayor of Pistoia and the Ambassador of the United States of America to Italy Jack Markell.

The US diplomat, today in Pistoia accompanied by the Consul General in Florence Daniela Ballard, before going to the San Giorgio Library, stopped in the town hall where he was received by the mayor. An important visit for our city during which the desire to continue and strengthen the fruitful collaboration between the two realities in the cultural field was renewed.

Following, therefore, the Ambassador of the United States of America Markell went to the American Corner of the San Giorgio Library, the “public diplomacy” project born from the collaboration between the US Embassy in Italy, which finances it, and the San Giorgio Library with the aim of creating a digital innovation center open to the public and in which, in particular children, can use a rich set of audio-video and IT equipment to learn new skills.
