The man had been discharged from the emergency room, an illness after 2 days proved fatal.
Yes he had gone to the emergency room of Udine hospital twice complaining of a respiratory problem, but in both cases he was sent home. After two days, however, the 65-year-old from Povoletto feels ill again. The symptoms are the same, but this time unfortunately the epilogue is tragic: the man died on the way to the hospital.
The victim’s wife and daughter decided to take legal action by filing a complaint with the Udine Prosecutor’s Office, which investigated two cardiologists and an emergency room doctor for manslaughter. The autopsy, carried out this morning, revealed that the man had died caused by a pulmonary embolism. After the first results, further investigations are expected in the coming weeks, aimed at establishing whether the pathology could be identified in the two visits to the emergency room.
