Alessandria: course for voluntary penitentiary assistants underway

ALEXANDRIA – Csvaa and Betel Odv offer training courses aimed at the population with the aim of helping them to know and better understand the reality of prison system.

Therefore, the sixth edition of the path for will begin in April aspiring voluntary penitentiary assistants. Created in collaboration with the “Cantiello and Gaeta” penitentiary institutions, the External Criminal Enforcement Office of Alessandria, the Guarantor for prisoners, the Seac, the Crvg, the AVP Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Coordination, the Diocesan Caritas, the Acli and Cooperatives.

It will take place in 6 meetingsstarting from April 20th to end on June 8th, with a guided tour (7.30am-4pm) at the museum of the former “Le Nuove” prison in Turin.

The course: where and when

The 5 training meetings preceding this last day will take place, in person, on Saturday (20 April and 4, 11, 25 May), from 9.30 to 12.30. For the first four the venue will be the Csvaa training room (also the Bethel headquarters) in via Vochieri 80, in Alessandria.

The meeting on Saturday 1st June, however, will take place at the San Michele Prison, from 9am to 12.30pm.
