Today’s forty-year-old generation: Vanessa Incontrada and Gabriele Pignotta tell it in Assisi

ASSISI (Perugia) – A journey into the generation of today’s forty-year-olds on stage at the Lyrick in Assisi for the next show of the season “Scopriamo le carte” promoted by the cultural association ZonaFranca, with artistic direction by Paolo Cardinali, in collaboration and with the contribution of the City of Assisi. On stage Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th April at 9.15pm “Sorry, I’m in a meeting… Can I call you back?” with Vanessa Incontrada and Gabriele Pignotta (also author and director), and with Fabio Avaro, Siddharha Prestinari and Nick Nicolosi.

On stage Pignotta paints the portrait of his generation, that of today’s forty-year-olds, grown up enough to be able to live chasing success and career but not adult enough to be able to stop laughing and making fun of themselves. What would happen if these same people, due to a joke by one of them, found themselves protagonists of a reality TV show? “Sorry, I’m in a meeting… Can I call you back?” it is a current and very acute comedy of errors which, with irony, invites us to reflect on the obsession with visibility and the desire for success that characterize our times.
