Flies, poultry factories and suburbs. The Municipal President of Italia Viva Aprilia Katiuscia Baldassarre intervenes on the topic: “It’s been more than two months since the invasion of flies has returned to torment the residents in the areas surrounding the two poultry factories in via dei Giardini and via Fossignano. So much so that a resident of Fossignano, who fought on the front line for years, left her home out of desperation.
It is not possible that every year there is always the same problem and it is not possible to solve it once and for all. These companies must by law periodically carry out disinfestation where they deposit the manure to avoid the birth of larvae and consequently the birth of flies .
These two poultry factories belong to the same owner, who has requested to open another one here in Aprilia. I hope that no one will think of authorizing this project which would certainly bring further inconvenience to another area.
We are not the city of “chickens”, landfills and stinks. Our health MUST always come first before the interests of others.”
