Vito Bardi (Centre-right) and disability proposals

There is very little left until the call to the polls for the Basilicata Regional Elections 2024which will be used to elect the new Regional President and the new Regional Council. The current outgoing president, Vito Bardihas decided to run again with the centre-right.

On Sunday 21 April 2024 (from 7am to 11pm) and Monday 22 April 2024 (from 7am to 3pm) those entitled to vote will be able to go to the polls and choose the new formation of their administration. The electoral law provides for the proportional voting but not the disjoint one. There barrier threshold instead it is set at 3%.

Here we will dedicate ourselves to the candidate Vito Bardi, outgoing president of Basilicata, supported by Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Forza Italia, Lista Bardi, Udc, Noi Moderati, Azione and some representatives of Italia Viva, and what his program says elections for people with disabilities.

Who is Vito Bardi?

Vito Bardi is the current outgoing president of the Basilicata Region, who has decided to run again for a second mandate. Born in Potenza on 18 September 1951, he is an Italian general and politician. He has been deputy general commander of the Guardia di Finanza.

After graduating from the Nunziatella Military School in Naples, he began his career at the Guardia di Finanza, where he became colonel on 31 December 1995. On 1 January 2001 he was promoted to general of the 1st Department of the General Command.

His political career instead began in 2019, after that Silvio Berlusconi indicates it as centre-right candidate for the then regional election of Basilicata, during which he was elected president with 42.2% of the preferences, effectively becoming the first centre-right president of the Lucanian region.
