A delegation from Forza Italia Viterbo, composed of the organization manager Manuel Alejandro Mechelli and the member of the communications sector Angelo Balletti, participated with great enthusiasm in the General States of the Economy organized in Milan on 13 April.

During the event, seven fundamental challenges for Italy’s growth were addressed, from the priorities for the next European legislature to the need for less oppressive taxes and higher wages. According to the Azzurri, the current data push the country towards “moderate optimism”.

The secretary of Forza Italia and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, underlined the importance of supporting businesses, reducing tax pressure and protecting female employment in Italy. Furthermore, he highlighted the need for a European industrial and agricultural policy that encourages businesses to be protagonists in the fight against climate change.

During the event, calls were made for a cut in interest rates by the president of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, and proposals were made for greater Italian representation in European institutions.

The Minister of the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, highlighted the importance of nuclear energy as a new frontier, while the president of Coldiretti, Ettore Prandini, underlined the need to increase Italian representation in the EPP to be protagonists in writing the regulations Europeans.
