A school where we teach how to enhance mountain areas. It is the one that started in the Barcis guesthouse and which will see 20 students engaged in what is the first stage of the twelve free residential courses of the multi-year “Mountain School – Friulian Dolomites” project of the University of Udine: scheduled until to Saturday 4 May, through 44 hours of training, it will focus on the theme “Local food and products”, with lessons, workshops and meetings with experts. The contents range from the geographical and territorial framework of mountain areas and policies to the valorisation of agri-food and local products; from interventions relating to self-entrepreneurship and corporate forms in agricultural production to the communication of agri-food as a tourism product. About seventy people signed up and will be able to access the next courses. Three more will be proposed between June and September again in Barcis, dedicated respectively to the themes of “Agriculture and livestock”, “Health and well-being”, “Tourism and valorisation of places”. Between workshops, guided tours and experiences told live, the initiative promoted by Uniud, Montagna Leader and Magnifica Comunità delle Dolomiti Friulane, Cavallo and Consiglio aims to enhance the human and natural resources of the so-called “High Lands”. Also inaugurating the course was the rector of Udine Roberto Pinton, who underlined the value of the initiative to relaunch strategic areas of Friuli.AnswersReply to allForward
