Deltaarte officially inaugurates the 12th edition at Loreo

LOREO (Rovigo) – With a head full of dreams is the new street art work that officially opens the 12th edition of the traveling festival DeltArte – the delta of creativity.

It was created by the Roman artist Manuela Merlo Human who created this new mural on the square of Viale della Stazione, in front of the schools.

The parking lot is becoming a nice business card for the city, being populated with street art works that increase year after year thanks to the festival and the attention of the administration, welcoming in particular not only the student community but also travelers who will benefit from the new railway line, work on which is continuing in this period.

The work “With a head full of dreams” by Uman is dedicated to one’s desires, associated with the lightness and beauty of butterflies in flight, and is an invitation to never stop dreaming and believing in it. Furthermore, the artist, very sensitive to issues relating to the defense of civil rights, represented a female figure to also raise awareness on the issue of gender equality and against all forms of violence against women.

“Women are the protagonists of many of my murals and this one in particular talks about the freedom of women to be what they want, their aspirations and goals. I thank the curator of DeltArte Melania Ruggini, with whom I have already collaborated on other occasions, such as in Adria, Codigoro and Treviso, for her sensitivity and attention towards these themes and towards my works”.

Saturday 13 April from 09.30 to 11.30 the creative workshops of DeltArte took place en plein air, with the classes of the comprehensive institute of Loreo.

The students created the multicolored butterflies that populate the drawing, together with the artist.

The deputy mayor attended the inauguration Alberto Doni, the culture councilor Sara Forzato, the school director Romano Veronese, the curator of the festival Melania Ruggini, the president of Art Flood Remzi Doci. The interventions unanimously expressed the importance of these works of art to raise awareness of important current issues and how they are an added value for the community, beautifying previously gray and anonymous urban corners.
