Alfredo’s fault? But no: this time the fault lies entirely with the doctor, the sea and the beauties of the Puglia. Yes, because it is these shores that the national Blasco fell in love with, and is in its retreat Castellaneta Marina, in the Taranto area, of which he has been an honorary citizen since 2021, who finds peace and inspiration to recharge the batteries of creativity. A sincere, passionate, true love – just like him – that of Vasco Rossi for a region where he arrived, over 16 years ago, almost by chance and which now feels “a bit like home”; without hiding it, without filters, in his own way: he declares it in interviews and on the social pages where he publishes images, anecdotes and routines of his life in Puglia. And it is on the banks of the Ionian Sea that he has arrived in recent days to train and concentrate in view of the new tours summer which will start on June 2nd with the date in Bibione. Followed by Milan and Barinot surprisingly, chosen as the first stop in southern Italy with 4 sold out events.

Again, for the sixteenth consecutive year, he will spend his holidays. To keep his diehards updated, right from the beach of Castellaneta the rocker from Zocca shared a photo on the official Instagram profile that portrays him in a sports outfit on the beach in Taranto: duriallenamenti is one of the hashtags he used. «My “tour luggage” has increased significantly over the years – he wrote to fans – I don’t know how many trunks, cars, vans. I take everything with me, also because, when we leave, we never return home until the end. Mine are one way adventures… within the strict rules of “live”: physical exercise, diet, harmony and concentration. The apparent calm before the storm. In general, it’s three months of intense life on an emotional level and, let’s face it, of great mental and physical fatigue, but it’s always worth it.”
In the middle: the sea, the closest friends, the inseparable Laura, the local people who have chosen it as an island of tranquility to relax and, in part, to enjoy the thalassotherapy treatments. “I have back pain that doesn’t let me sleep. Call me a doctor.” She sings like this in “Amore ..aiuto”, one of his most eclectic songs. Because after all, even tough people cry, and they even do it “against the walls”. But then, whether it’s back pain, post-stage tiredness, or a simple need to regenerate, the sea will take care of it! And this is how the Komandante arrived in Puglia. To put it a bit as he himself declared a few years ago in an interview with a magazine, then published in full on his Facebook profile: “The doctor ordered it for me.” Talking about his period of rest, he added: «I have to do three months a year of thalassotherapy. I come here to rediscover myself, I take long walks, there is the sea, iodine. It’s a fantastic place.”

And there is the Albachiara suite. This seems to be the name of the approximately 100 square meter apartment in which he spends his stay, in the 5-star resort which also hosts a thalassotherapy spa, one of the largest in the Mediterranean. A tribute to the song of songs, perhaps his most famous and loved song, the watershed of Italian music, the beginning of the consecrated success and the grand finale of every concert: Albachiara was released exactly 45 years ago, on 30 April 1979, in album “We’re Not Americans”.
According to those in the know, the suite would even be personalized with many paintings portraying various moments of his musical career and some furnishings belonging to him. In his holiday guise, Vasco spends his days between sports, sea, swimming pool, spa and moments of relaxation. From time to time he gives himself over to the crowd that acclaims him and flows onto the beach: it happened last summer when a video on Instagram showed a very long line of people cheering, with smiles, handshakes and autographs, whom he honored, accompanying the images with the phrase: «The sea and the beauties of Puglia».
Also last year, while the phobia for jellyfish was exploding in Puglia, Vasco had himself filmed while playing with a specimen in the crystal clear sea. In full rocker style, to invite bathers not to damage them. In these days, while the Combriccola del Blasco awaits the start of the concerts, in the Cromie disco in Castellaneta, Rossi and he are doing their first rehearsals, as has already happened in the past. “And meanwhile the world rolls, the sea always sparkles, tomorrow, perhaps, is already Sunday”.
