No valid driving licence, but many counterfeit ones. This is the story that emerged today, April 30, following an inspection by the local police of Treviso. The patrol of the Road Safety Unit of the Local police of Treviso, at the fruit and vegetable market roundabout, stopped a person who had violated the “halt”. The motorist, a 48-year-old Nigerian citizen residing in San Liberale, driving a Ford Focus, forced the officers to carry out a short pursuit which ended after just over a kilometre.
The man showed an Italian driving license which, following some investigations, also carried out with the instrumentation of the LAD (document analysis laboratory) was found to be counterfeit. The subject, who in January 2022 was already been reported to the judicial authorities for having exhibited a counterfeit driving licence, was reported both for art. 477/482 (material falsehood) and sanctioned for the violation of the art. 116 of the Highway Code.
